It is difficult to pin down the illustrious Blut Aus Nord, who like the seasons, vary their styles endlessly. Closing the 777 series, Cosmosophy plays like catharsis intertwined with barbedwire, as if there is no real respit from the madness. Unlike like past efforts, Blut Aus Nord mix the dissonant with melodic, opening with clean vocals singing over a churning and driving riff, growing to eventual chaos mid album and once again closing with the calm, melodic and breathy. A perfect ending to a trilogy, 777: Cosmosophy showcases several styles that the band employs and closes the lid on the series without leaving any holes left unfilled.
