Caverne – “Omphalos” (CD)

The sister project to Nécropole, Caverne is the much more subdued and atmospheric half of composer Amertume’s mind. With themes of nature and spirituality, Caverne paints the picture of a person who is at one with nature and completely disavows the modern world for all it’s atrocities. Choirs of guitars, cleans and a pulsing war drum are the constant theme of this short album, which pushes the listener into the woods to hear the call of the wild. Less is more with Caverne, as Amertume makes work with more peaks and valleys and features acoustic guitars in the composition to finish the work of art that is Omphalos.
