Legendary tattoo artist, painter and USBM veteran, Jef Whitehead, otherwise known as Wrest needs no further introduction. Leviathan, his brainchild most recently unfurled this tumultuous record in 2015 after a four year period of mostly silence. Hellish growls, tortured screams, relentless drums and dissonance pit the user against the ambient anxiety that Wrest creates with the newest release. You can feel your neck hairs raise as the vocals crawl over you like an unwanted whisper into your ear during these disturbing and highly uncomfortable sequences where the disharmonic guitar rings out and the voice over is all you can try to make out. Leviathan is like no other, pushing the boundaries of human comfort and takes misanthropy to an entirely new degree.
