Through the years, many scenes have diverged from their original sound, however the Métal noir Québécois have always remained true to their sound. None more is true of the new solo project of Forteresse brainchild, Moribond. Serment rings like the snow cascading through the sky that encapsulates most of the year in the province. With themes both of the natural beauty of Québec and the harsh environment that it can impose, this record is one for the books. The vocals range from eerie screams to chanted cleans all the while powerful synths play on top of the triumphant chords.
