Hailing from the close nit group of musicians that make up the Icelandic black metal scene, Sinmara originally released their debut record, Aphotic Womb back in 2014. This long awaited followup album showcases an entirely new sound with cascading leads that layer over the driving bass and drums creating this eery ebb and flow as if wind through the trees of a forest. Heavily reverbed vocals take the center of the mix which fill out the music perfectly. Tearing away their original sound for a more relaxed and atmospheric, often melodic sound, the band showcases their mastery of their craft for all to see perfectly on display in this amazing sophomoric release.
