Backed by a group of anonymous musicians playing extremely nontraditional music, Thantifaxath are an extremely hard to describe entity. Somehow being both melodic and dissonant, this debut EP puts forth all the punches that black metal has to offer to seemingly randomized time signatures. Like an organized chaos, the record swirls relentlessly, ebbing and flowing like a tide would, but at unsystematic intervals. With intense synths, driving drums and ethereal shrieks, Thantifaxath creates one of the most unique atmospheres in black metal.
