Rising from the ashes of the thrash metal project, Carnivore, Brooklyn legends, Type O Negative are most well known for their long, romantic songs and deep bass vocals provided by frontman Peter Steele. After the genre defining Bloody Kisses and commercially successfull October’s Rust, the band is back dropped their fifth album, World Coming down originally in 1999. Presented for the first time on vinyl outside of collector’s boxes, the album is finally able to be appreciated in full. Building off all the last albums, every element of their career is on display, from the gritty attitude of Slow, Deep and Hard to the romantic moments in Bloody Kisses and the synth serenade that is October’s rust.
