Austria is well known for their penchant for ambient and post black metal projects, and none is moreso in the forefront than Graz’s solo project, Ellende. With shiningly bright tone and plenty of clean sections to keep the progression varied, the guitars churn back and forth into black metal and nearly folk melodies at times while the bass walks in the background amidst the torrent of mortar fire that takes up the drum section.
